Forty Baskets Beach, Manly Cove | Original Painting

My oil painting of the view across Manly Cove from the rock pools at Forty Baskets Beach in Sydney, Australia. In the left of the painting is the beach with its dinghies and pier. A sculptural tree cascades over the scene, and through the leaves, across the silvery water, you can see the serene moored sailboats and the waterfront houses of Manly.

I walked the spectacular Spit to Manly route on a warm cloudy day just before Christmas. The soft blues contrasting with the ragged orange rock pools caught my eye. And those trees have so much personality!
